The estimated number of street children in Jakarta is over 10,000, and that number is steadily increasing.

In 2006, CEO SUITE started to make an impact on this social problem by supporting The Learning Farm – a two-hectare organic farm in Bogor’s Puncak, West Java, Indonesia, where around 50 street kids learn to live more peaceful and self-reliant lives.

Having been helped off the streets by the non-governmental organizations that provide shelter for street children, the kids must learn to adjust to their new way of life. At around 13 years of age, the children gain a lot from each day’s schedule, which includes activities such as drama, handicraft-making and music recitals.

“We’re thrilled that our ongoing involvement with The Learning Farm is helping to create a positive change in young people’s lives,” said CEO SUITE’s President, Mee Kim.
